You will be part of a small team working on the design, development, testing and support of Speedwell’s flagship examination software system whilst working towards your Digital and Technology Solutions Degree (Software Engineer). It’s a great way to earn and learn.
The role will start with gaining a good understanding of the product you will be working on. You will then be testing which will be a mix of manual and automated testing, writing test cases, automating test cases, reporting bugs, checking bug fixes, setting up and maintaining test environments (virtual copies of Windows desktop and server, Microsoft SQL Server and IIS). As your skills and experience grow you will become involved in the design and development of the software.
You will be using the latest technologies to develop Windows, Mac, Web, iOS and Android applications coding in C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS and HTML.
This role will also help the support team when they are busy or need cover for staff members on holiday.
Wage: £15,000 pa
Working Week: 8.30am – 17.00 (37.5 hrs)
Apprenticeship Duration: 4 yrs
